Where: The Fireside Room at Valley Presbyterian Church
What: Lent is a 40 day season of prayer and observing spiritual disciplines that begins on Ash Wednesday (March 5th) and ends at sundown on Holy Thursday (April 17th). It's a period of preparation to celebrate Jesus Christ's Resurrection at Easter.
At Valley Presbyterian Church, we will offer five Lent study groups that will gather to explore the narrative of Scripture through a brand new children’s Bible called The Book of Belonging, accompanied by a study guide that will take us deeper into the heart of Scripture. Throughout the Lenten season, we will seek to practice and cultivate a variety of spiritual disciplines such as communal prayer, Lectio Divinia (i.e. divine reading), and Visio Divina (i.e. divine seeing). Groups will meet once a week, beginning March 9th and go for 7 weeks through April 27th.
Books will be $20 and available for purchase at VPC on Sundays before and after church.
